University Park

University Park is located along the eastside of the Willamette River. It is bordered by Cathedral Park, Arbor Lodge and Portsmouth neighborhoods. Street names like Harvard and Yale run throughout the neighborhood as tribute to one of the oldest schools in the area, the University of Portland.  Many small, modest homes serve as rental housing for students. Along the northern border is N Lombard Street which provides a variety of restaurants, fast-food chains and shopping. Nearby is the Swan Island industrial area, home of the Adidas Corporation. The Fishwife Seafood Restaurant is “Top Notch” and Nicola’s Pizza serves up a tasty calzone. For local watering holes head to The P Club, Twilight Room or University Grill. Try an authentic Italian cooking class at Cork and Fork Studio or head over to Portsmouth, McKenna or Harbor View City Park for some outdoor activities.
